The Front End – Live Shots

In 2010, four guys from the Russell area came together with a new passion.... music.  Playing once a week at Guilbault Studios (a.k.a The Jam Room), and soon found a sound that they can call their own.  Gathering a collection of equipment seemed to be a hobby over the last couple of years – we like shiny things with lights.

The Front End are starting to build their style, putting their stamp on a range of classic rock, country, and a couple of originals.  They have a way of branding each song with a little of their own sound

What’s in a Name

The Front End is a common term for the lead and 2nd from a curling Rink.  If playing music together isn’t enough, this crew likes to hammer it out on the sheets of the Russell Curling Club as well.  The name seemed to fit.  While on stage, they like to hammer it out as well.  Sometimes loud, dirty and sometimes smooth as Crunchy Peanut Butter.

Getting their feet wet, sort of speak they have played at the Russell Curling Club, opened things off at the 2011 Russell Ladies Night, 2012 Manotick Dickenson Days, and many more shows here and there, they continue to polish their live sound.

Head over to our SAMPLES page to hear some of the latest Guilbault Studios recordings, recorded LIVE with a little bit of leveling done afterwards.  Head over to our Gallery page for our latest photos.
